Oakland Street Paving - Nov. 8

Please be advised that asphalt paving is anticipated to take place Monday, November 8, 2021 (weather permitting). This paving operation will be for the first of two layers of asphalt. We kindly ask that any/all cars parked on Oakland Street during the night are moved off of the street by 6:30 am on November 8, 2021 and that residents do not utilize the street at all while paving operations are taking place. We recommend that if you will need to use a vehicle that is in your driveway you move it elsewhere prior to Monday morning as well. It is anticipated that this work will be completed in one day. Residents will be allowed to again access Oakland Street and their driveways once paving operations have been completed at the end of the day.

The paving contractor intends to mobilize some of their paving equipment on site this coming Sunday, November 7, 2021. Please be advised that no work will be done on this day.

Please keep children and pets away from the construction operation.  Construction activities, and the associated equipment that goes with it, is attractive to small children and can be dangerous. Please keep children away from the equipment, removals, mass grading, underground utility installation, and hot asphalt.

If you have any specific questions regarding this work, please call Mr. Michael McNutt, Project Inspector for OHM, at (313) 516-4735, Mr. Austin Downie, Engineer for OHM, at (734) 466-4437, Mr. Chuck Eudy, DPW Superintendent, Mr. Josh Leach, DPW Assistant Superintendent, at (248) 473-7250.
