Emergency Preparedness Commission
The commission is charged with the authority and responsibility of making recommendations to Farmington and Farmington Hills concerning public education on safety, helping citizens take an active role in protecting themselves from harm, teaching citizens what to do in the event of a crisis, and providing citizens with the skills and abilities to make their families, homes and communities safer from the threats of terrorism, crime, and disaster. The commission may develop and make available a resource and/or service information base. It may also coordinate with other agencies (such as police and fire departments), promote and encourage the implementation of any program consistent with the purpose for which the commission is established including but not limited to CPR, first aid, and other emergency situation training.
