City of Farmington announces new precinct map and updated voting locations
The City of Farmington has introduced an updated precinct map, reflecting a shift from five voting precincts to three. This change follows recent State Senate redistricting that places Farmington in Michigan Senate District 8, beginning with the August 4, 2026 State Primary Election.
Earlier this month, all Farmington voters were mailed a new voter information card, as required by the State of Michigan. These cards outline each voter’s updated precinct and polling location.
Some residents will see a change in their polling place. Voters who previously cast ballots at:
- Longacre Elementary (Precinct 5), or
- Freedom Gateway Church (Precinct 2),
will now vote at Farmington High School, which will serve Precincts 2 and 3. Specific precinct assignments are listed on the new voter information card.
Residents are encouraged to review the updated precinct boundaries and polling locations using the interactive map available on the City website or directly at this link: Precinct Map
Once voters receive their new voter information card, no further action is needed.
Voters on the Permanent Absentee Voter Ballot List will remain on the list and will continue to automatically receive absentee ballots before each election.
