Shawn MacDonnell-Kavanagh of Heights Brewing was sworn in today as the Farmington Downtown Development Authority’s (DDA) newest board member.  Farmington City Clerk Meaghan Bachman administered the oath of office. City Council unanimously appointed MacDonnell-Kavanagh to her new post at the January 16, 2024 City Council Meeting.

MacDonnell-Kavanagh believes Farmington has “the marketability of a small town with big things happening.” She is looking forward to her work with the Farmington Community – as both a business owner and a board member.

The DDA supports business development, encourages historic preservation, and promotes economic growth. Board members serve a 4-year term. Applicants must own a business, or commercial property in the downtown district.
