Stay connected with Farmington Alerts

Farmington administration is pleased to announce that Farmington is now using TextMyGov to keep the community informed and engaged. This service allows residents to receive important updates via text message and is designed to make staying in the loop easier than ever. The new platform offers a user-friendly experience, ensuring that residents stay informed about emergencies, road closures, severe weather, election dates and other city updates.

TextMyGov allows subscribers to receive text message/alerts from the city. Subscribers can choose which groups to receive alerts from:

  • Public Safety Alerts – Critical updates about emergencies or safety-related issues – (this will replace our current system, so please subscribe to continue receiving alerts).
  • City Alerts – Non-emergency notifications about city news and updates.
  • Farmers Market Alerts – Seasonal notifications about market events and updates.

How to Subscribe:

Signing up is simple but requires separate actions to sign up for all three groups. Here’s what to do:

  • For City Alerts, text: farmingtonalerts to 91896.
  • For Public Safety Alerts, text: farmingtonpolice to 91896.
  •  For Farmers Market Alerts, text: farmingtonmarket to 91896.
