ITC, an electricity transmission company, is conducting tree trimming and a few selected removals near the large power wires along Freedom Road between Halstead to Tuck Road. The project will last about two weeks.  Traffic may be impeded for short stretches of time.

ITC explained they “appreciate that tree removal can be of concern to property owners. To maintain the safety and reliability of the high-voltage transmission system, ITC must perform vegetation management work.  Community safety and the reliability of the transmission system are our top priorities. The company’s high-voltage transmission lines are subject to regulation by federal agencies, which mandate zero-tolerance for vegetation-related outages.”
