Draft 2027–2032 Capital Improvement Program Submitted to Planning Commission

The draft 2027–2032 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) for the City of Farmington is an item on tonight's Planning Commission Meeting for "discussion and to schedule a public hearing." The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at Farmington City Hall.

The Capital Improvement Program outlines proposed major infrastructure and facility projects planned over the next six years and serves as a long-range planning tool to guide future investments in the community. The goal of the CIP is to provide a road map for future funding and planning of capital improvement projects.

The CIP is based on a number of adopted plans, including the Farmington Master Plan, the Farmington Recreation Master Plan, the Farmington Vision Plan, the Farmington Downtown Area Plan, the Downtown Master Plan, the Grand River Corridor Vision Plan, the Rouge River Nature Trail Project, and the Orchard Lake & 10 Mile Roads Intersection Report.

The Planning Commission is expected to set a public hearing on the draft CIP, providing residents and stakeholders an opportunity to review the plan and share input before it moves forward in the approval process. The public hearing date and details on how to participate, will be shared once scheduled.
