Farmington Place Apartments - Notice of Public Hearing on the adoption of a Brownfield Plan for Redevelopment

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT a Public Hearing shall be held before the Brownfield Redevelopment Authority of the City of Farmington on the 22nd day of September, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the City of Farmington located at 23600 Liberty St, Farmington, MI 48335, on the adoption of a Brownfield Plan for the Redevelopment of  Farmington Place Apartments.

The Brownfield Redevelopment Authority shall exercise its powers pursuant to and in accordance with the provisions of the Brownfield Redevelopment Financing Act, being Act 381 of the Public Acts of the State of Michigan of 1996, as amended, as delegated to it by City Council.

The proposed brownfield plan would allow the developer, and the BRA, or other party to be reimbursed for eligible costs incurred for a planned rehabilitation of an existing senior income-based apartment building consisting of one building with approximately 122,924 gross square footage (GSF) with 153 for-rent apartment units. Eligible costs may include infrastructure improvements. Reimbursement is paid only from increment actually generated. The brownfield plan must first be approved by the City of Farmington City Council.
